I was a bit worried it might be too dainty, but the 1 mm diameter is surprisingly sturdy for working tight knots. It slides through the thread smoothly, and the length feels perfectly balanced for making consistent picots.

The 130 mm length gives me plenty of room to wind a full shuttle's worth of thread without stopping, which I didn't expect from such a slim needle. It glides through fine cotton thread cleanly, so my rings come out even every time.

I've been tatting for years and the 1 mm gauge on this needle is perfect for fine thread, no snagging at all. The 130 mm length took a couple of sessions to get used to but now my rings come out more even.
