The curve on these needles lets me push through thick layers of foam without the tip slipping, which was my main struggle with straight ones. They hold their shape well even under pressure from dense upholstery material.

Finally got these for reupholstering an old armchair and the curved tip makes it so much easier to push through thick foam without tearing the fabric.
