The curve on these needles lets me push through thick layers of foam without the tip slipping, which was my main struggle with straight ones. They hold their shape well even under pressure from dense upholstery material.

Finally got these for reupholstering an old armchair and the curved tip makes it so much easier to push through thick foam without tearing the fabric.

The curve on these is just right for pushing stuffing into tight corners without it bunching up. I've used straight needles for years and didn't realize how much easier leather and upholstery work could be. They slide through thick fabric smoothly and the eye is big enough for heavier thread.
